Getting better

Before my recent hip surgery, I discussed with the doctors and nurses my alcoholism, my long-term sobriety, and my insistence on trying non-addictive analgesics first before we tried something stronger. Good news. The non-addictive ones are working and my new hip seems to be doing just fine.
