Highlight of the evening

One Tuesday evening a fellow alcoholic named Ali asked me to join her at the county jail to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous. She wanted me to share my experience, strength and hope. At first, I had some hesitation and fear. But I heard my sponsor’s voice say, “Don’t say no to service,” so I joined her. By saying yes that day, I was privileged and most grateful to have a monthly commitment that lasted three years.
