I’ve been sober for 24 years and my home group is the St. Nicholas group in Harlem, New York City. I’ve worked at a nursing home in upper Manhattan for over 23 years as a certified nursing assistant and neighborhood coordinator. At my job, I see firsthand what alcoholism can do to a person. I also know what it can still do to me if I were to relapse.
