The necklace she wore told this newcomer that someone very special never gave up
I was born in a small city in Iowa called Waterloo. My dad left when I was 3. I never got to learn much about him. My mom raised six kids, four girls and two boys. She and my three oldest sisters ran the household. Being the oldest boy, I did the lion’s share of chores.
