Huddle up

Penguins live in one of the harshest environments on earth. They are only able to survive the vicious elements because they have each other. They have a unique chirp they use to communicate with each other and their offspring. This way they can reunite quickly after being apart or if the chick wanders away from mom or dad. The penguins’ instinct to stay together is so strong that if a chick is orphaned, (usually due to the quest for food, which requires a lot of travel for the hungry parents) the other adult penguins will fight over “custody” of the lonely baby.
