Dating in sobriety is a phrase that strikes fear into the hearts of many. When someone mentions the sex inventory as part of the Fourth Step in meetings, everyone grows quiet and stares at their feet. Many an alcoholic has bemoaned any and all romantic relationships, either within or outside the Fellowship. This partnership thing seems to be high on the list of “our grosser handicaps” for almost everyone.
