His sponsor never talked about all the service he did. You just had to watch him
For almost as long as I’ve been sober, I’ve been somewhat uncomfortable in many meetings where “being of service” is the topic of discussion. Since AA really starts from the premise that once we’re sober, we have to give it away to keep it, I have looked at this discomfort, pondered it, talked to friends about it and I have some thoughts that I would like to share.
