Spotless pots

I had only been in the rooms a little over a week. Up to that point, I had attended at least one meeting a day, largely due to the tenacity of my sponsor, Fred, who showed up at my door every day to take me to one. We worked the night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and were able to hit meetings at the end of our work day as well as on our days off. I didn’t object. I wanted to get some of the joy I saw in folks at meetings, but I wasn’t comfortable in AA quite yet.
