The machine shed across from the dollar store is nothing special, but what happens inside sure is

I’d been sober for 16 years when my wife and I decided to move from the East Coast to her Midwestern hometown. My AA journey had begun at meetings in Yokohama, Japan, and continued after my discharge from the Navy in the suburbs of New York and Washington, D.C. I had no idea how I’d adapt to AA in Aledo, Illinois, population 3,600.
