Birthday Party Syndrome

When I was in my early 20’s, I worked for a real estate company and my roommate worked for a mortgage company.  The two companies did a lot of business together, so there were many joint happy hours, parties and events.  I was invited to one of those real ‘’big girl parties’’ and, having nothing to wear, scrounged through my mother’s closet and found the dress: pink knit, long sleeve with a hot pink and white stripe up one arm, leg slit—very chic, very sexy.
