Sobriety gave the writer of “Through the Grief” the tools to learn how to become a husband—and then a dad. But tragically, his first son did not make it. Luckily, the tools of AA helped the writer get through the ordeal and not drink. He stayed close to his sponsor and other AAs, and he did service and prayed. He now feels he can be available to help others in similar situations.
