The pressure of job interviews can make one do unexpected things. In my case, for a very important interview, I stopped drinking. It wasn’t my first attempt to stop, nor did I expect it to be my last. I had tried counseling, rehab and seemingly every medication there is to stop drinking. I even sat in AA meetings for a while. Nothing worked, so I gave up trying.
