Noon Meeting

Well, it is two minutes after twelve and I guess I’m late—although, as someone once said, you are never really late to an AA meeting until after the closing prayer. I drop a few quarters into the meter. Looking at the blue sky, I take a deep breath of summer. As I walk to the meeting, I watch the cars go by. It looks like everyone is in a hurry with the business of their lives.
