Nothing held back

Attended my first AA meeting in 1970. I went to meetings for five weeks or so, going to three to four meetings per week, just long enough to get back in the good graces of my wife. I would stay sober for a while and then go out again, often getting too drunk to remember driving home the night before. Seeing my car outside the window the next morning with no dents, created a false sense of security in me.
