Young and full of fear

When I came to AA at age 22, I was depressed, socially anxious and terrified. I was just beginning to understand how powerless I was over alcohol and the consequences that it had in my life. Too scared to go to Young People’s meetings with my peers, I went to meetings where the crowd was much older than me.
