Closer Than You Think

Service led her to online meetings, where she now gets to help others who can’t reach us

In the mid-90s, I met a newcomer at our AA meeting who was deaf. She sat in the front row trying to read the speaker’s lips but she was only partially able to do this. She taught me and two other women how we could help her experience the meeting.
