How Important Is The Greeter?

Think back to your very first AA meeting. I bet most of you remember it like it was yesterday, no matter how long ago it was. You may even remember the name or face of the very first person that met you at the door—the Greeter. I know I do and for me it was over eleven years ago. His name was Ray, and although it was February and very cold outside Ray stood outside the meeting door and welcomed me with a big smile and a handshake.
