Seeing the light

My first three months of sobriety, I rarely slept more than four hours daily. I had an El Camino, an Australian shepherd dog and a three-foot hole in the roof of my apartment where a fire had broken out. My apartment was a cold-water flat, as I definitely had no hot water.
