Staying Sober Through Adversity

“No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others.”

In November 1985, I got sober, which was a turning point in my life. I believe everyone comes to a point where they face the choice of taking a different direction or path. I have two sons, Mike and Tommy. Tommy, the eldest, walked away from his family to follow a  career he loved with all his heart: aviation. I followed mine into AA and a life I never imagined would give me the gratitude, peace and joy I have today.
