In a Canberra Jail

A Toronto fireman discovers the joys of service taking meetings to prisoners Down Under

This was a horrible mistake. I was seated in a small white room. Two steel chairs were bolted to the floor with a steel table, also bolted to the floor between them. I sat across the table from a man who was dressed in a prison jumpsuit. We obviously had nothing in common. What could I say to him? We stared at each other in silence while I pondered how I had gotten myself into this mess.
