“Do You Really Have to ‘Wanna’?”

When “wanting” it is not enough, sobriety can be an undeserved, but treasured, gift

I have seen signs in A.A. meetings and on the wall of the local Intergroup Office that state “You Gotta Wanna.” There is also a group in my area that is listed as the “You Gotta Wanna Group.” It appears to me that this concept is almost universally accepted within the rooms of A.A. I am writing this story to give what I think will be different perspective to this statement/perception.
