When the pandemic caused his AA meeting in Japan to go viral, alcoholics from around the world joined in
My husband and I moved to Japan in 2019, and immediately joined the Sho¯nan Group in Fujisawa—a Japanese-speaking group that I had belonged to the last time we were living in Japan in 2007. It’s one of those “pockets of enthusiasm” that are always a joy to come across when traveling around the world. The group had five meetings per week in five different cities along the coast south of Tokyo.
