As We Understood Whatever
A long-time sober friend of mine recently helped launch a website for “Sober Secular Members of AA” who want less God and Christianity in their recovery. Shortly after that the New York Times ran an article about atheists that prompted a lot of letters. This got me thinking. I was raised as an atheist and was pretty militant about it for a while. It wasn’t until I got sober nearly three decades ago that I realized that atheism took as much faith as religious belief. Neither can be proven.
