With two months in AA, he was on a mission to save the world. It didn’t quite turn out that way
In April 1989, my new therapist would only see me if I attended AA. At the time, I thought my plan of only drinking wine on Saturday night would work out quite well. It didn’t take long for my new friends in AA to set me straight. I became amazed, that for whatever reason, AA was working. I hadn't had a drink in 60 whole days! Imagine that. At the age of 48, this was the longest period of time I had ever gone without a drink.
