Our character defects

THROUGH years of Step work, the writer of “Restraint of Face” learned to become willing and to ask for help as she looked at her character defects. Then at 18 years sober, she became painfully aware of the faces she makes that hurt others. “Thank God for these Steps,” she writes. Now, she gets to help sponsees with her experience.
