Drinking Was Fun Until It Wasn’t
I will start my story with when I first became curious about liquor. Drinking was an adult privilege that I wanted very much. When adults drank, it appeared they were having fun. They would laugh and cut up, and I wanted to do exactly that, to escape from my shyness for a little while. I would often see liquor stores when we were out shopping, and I wanted to go in, but of course children were frowned upon in such places. Liquor stores became a forbidden place that looked better and better, at least to me.
