I was first introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous when I was 27 years old. I was in trouble on the home front and I had received my first DUI within a week at my new military assignment in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The Army had a policy of taking away on-post driving privileges for any soldier who gets a DUI off the post. I had been at Fort Huachuca for less than a week when I received the DUI.
