Young and full of rage, she tried her best to get kicked out of AA. Problem was, people just kept loving her

I was 13 when I first got drunk. There was magic in that stuff. I’d been an angry kid and did many of the things that angry kids do, like fighting and setting fires. But not long after I swallowed a tumbler of rum, my anger melted away. It wasn’t replaced with joy; it was replaced with nothingness, and that was the best feeling I’d ever had.
