The Responsibility Pledge helps her overcome her fear of taking meetings into jail

I have never been to prison or even spent one night in a jail cell. My alcoholism had many tough consequences, but, by the grace of God, I never had any problems with the law. So when I was asked if I would be interested in a commitment to bring the AA message of hope to the jail in my community, I eagerly accepted. But I also wondered if I would be a good fit for this position. I didn’t know what I would be up against. I found sobriety very late in my life and just envisioned that a better person would be younger and a little rough around the edges, something I’m not.
