Far from home and feeling low on serenity, he said a little prayer and just followed the signs

It was in the late 1980s. I had been sober for 12 years. One of the reasons I drank was to try to control anxiety and panic attacks that plagued me even into sobriety. I was seeing a professional in order to overcome these irrational fears, but they still popped up at times.
