How much effort and time did I put into drinking? That is the question I tell myself when I need a meeting. I have driven a long way for a party or a fun time at a bar. So now, many times in sobriety, I have driven 40, 50, even 60 miles one way to get my attitude adjustment hour at an AA meeting.
