Silver Lining
As COVID-19 completely alters the way we meet, one member looks for ways to embrace the change
Jimmy S. is an old musician buddy of my husband, Guy. In the 1980s, we “grew up” together in the excellent fellowship of the Vallejo, California AA community. As the Covid-19 crisis overtook us, one silver lining was the growth of virtual AA meetings that blossomed across the country and the world. One meeting I attended online was organized by Jimmy. And that meeting led me to an unexpected spiritual growth spurt through service, one that I hope to pay forward as newcomers experience the AA program for the first time online.
