With a lot of help, a senior AA member comes out of the closet to find a new level of freedom
I got sober in 1968 and I haven’t had a drink since. All through my sobriety, I carried a secret. I was homophobic to the extent that my homophobia shrunk my life down to the narrowest of spaces, as bad as the narrowing caused by my drinking.
