Outed at work
The last thing she expected was an AA member to reveal her alcoholism at the office. Oh boy, was she rattled!
A few days ago, someone in the program outed me at my place of work in public, in front of people I directly supervise and others. It was jarringly inappropriate. I panicked, froze and began to shake. I felt like I couldn’t breathe, and all I could make myself do was turn away and pretend it hadn’t happened.
