An essential worker in New York City shares gratitude for being sober and explains why he needs AA more than ever
I am a bilingual AA member and my home group is a Spanish-speaking group. I work in a hospital kitchen as an essential worker, and when the COVID-19 crisis hit, we couldn’t stop our work. I live in New York City, and I had to take the subway to the hospital. Early on many people were not protecting themselves. Luckily my workplace showed us how to protect ourselves and others to keep doing our jobs.
