I’m Not Going To Drink Today

I was 45 years old when I walked in the rooms of AA. I had always loved drinking, but over the last two years I was drinking increasing amounts of hard liquor, daily and sometimes throughout the day, in secret. My husband knew I was drinking, but didn’t know how much, until he found five empty handles – I wasn’t putting them in the recycling bin because he was checking there. I had meant to dispose of those elsewhere. He threatened
