I’ve always thought of my life’s path in terms of decisions I made that took me in certain directions. The consequences of those choices were what I lived with until I got to AA. Most of my choices grew out of situations for which I was responsible—a relationship ended; my car stopped running; I was fired from a job—these sorts of things.
