Sober since 1966, she looks back at her life as a single mother and how AA gave her everything she needed

I had my last drink and walked into my first AA meeting in 1966.  I was a single mother with two small children, and I was scared to death.  I didn’t know how I was going to stay sober, work and take care of my children. I lived with my mother for a few months before I got my own apartment.
