Message of hope

I have made many inside friends over these years. During this COVID pandemic, the prisons are closed to visitors, but I found another way to stay in touch.

When I first moved to Arizona in 2000, I began looking to volunteer to take AA meetings in to incarcerated alcoholics. I was amazed how much they were needed. I immediately got busy finding out where and when meetings were needed and for about 15 years, I traveled nearly 350 miles a week to carry the message to the prisons in Florence. The gas bill was extreme, but it was not nearly as much as I used to spend on booze every week.
