Committed to writing guys in prison, a volunteer begins to help them see what AA is like outside

Thanks to some of my fellow AA corrections volunteers, I was introduced to taking meetings into jails and prisons in early sobriety. My first jail meeting was in 1982 when “California Bob” invited me to accompany him to the Sussex County jail in Newton, New Jersey.
