The heart has is reason

From a secular childhood in Kansas to a sober life of spiritual awareness was not as far as it seemed

I grew up in a family of heathens in Kansas, the buckle on the Bible belt. Both my parents came from poor families and they barely drank. They both worked; Dad was a doctor and Mom stayed home and kept house and took care of the kids.
