The true meaning of a home group for one sober alcoholic

The purpose of a home group has evolved for me during my sobriety. I initially chose my home group because when I went there for the first time the women welcomed me and made me feel comfortable and I thought: “I can share here.” I figured you should at least be able to share at your home group—all the other meetings scared me, so this was had to be the one.
