One Foot in Front of the Other

I n a year filled with so much loss and sadness, do I dare report how out of all of that despair, I watched Alcoholics Anonymous not only survive, but flourish? One of my favorite lines in our literature appears in the Foreword to the Fourth Edition of our Big Book, “Modem-to-modem or face-to-face, A.A.s speak the language of the heart in all its power and simplicity.” Well, here we are—modem-to-modem for sure!
