Unexpected Retreat

I’m one of those fortunate members who has stayed continuously sober after being brought to my first AA meeting when I was 15. I’m now 55 years old, and I’ve been able to enjoy many blessings that continuous sobriety offers. That includes the birth of four children and two grandchildren, a second marriage that’s filled with love and companionship, a good education, a successful career and many wonderful friendships. There have also been plenty of seasons where “life on life’s terms” have been challenging and even desperate at times; however, AA always reminds me that “this too shall pass.”
