The finer points of meeting behavior from an AA with half a century’s sobriety

My sobriety date is November 30, 1974. I never had had the opportunity to attend a treatment facility or a rehab. I was 12th stepped into the program of AA by my boss Don who at the time had been sober 18 years and another AA member named Tom, who had been sober two years. Don was the senior vice president of the company that I worked for at this time. I was in my office at on a cold dreary fall Saturday morning in Minnesota. I was extremely hung over, sick and jittery. I was only in my office on a Saturday in a feeble attempting to display my “dedication” to company management.
