Welcome To The Covid Unit

An essential worker shares about staying sane, sober and alive on the front lines

In the early days of the COVID pandemic I didn’t understand how much it would affect recovery and how AA members would need each other more than ever. My wife, who’s also in recovery, and I were on our way back from Florida after visiting our AA friends. We had been watching the news and listening to the radio and they were all talking about this big virus. When we got home, we found out our home group had stopped meeting at the church’s request and AA members began talking about virtual meetings.
