Being a “wise acre,” I started making announcements.

A few years ago, I used to go to a meeting where, during the meeting, they would ask for non-AA announcements. Usually the announcements were about the local sober club or another Twelve Step program. To me, this was clearly a violation of the Sixth Tradition, as the announcements were an implied endorsement of a non-AA event or function. I complained about this, but nothing changed.
