The more he sees the presence of a Higher Power in his life, the less he argues in the parking lot
When I first arrived at AA in 1991, I was in a spiritual “black hole.” I had long since jettisoned any spiritual beliefs. My hedonistic lifestyle had corroded my soul to the point where I would ridicule you if you had a belief in a Higher Power (although not to your face, if you were bigger than me).
