A Place to Honor

This house is more than a museum. We say, “Welcome home!” when folks walk up. This home is where people speak the language of the heart.

Volunteering as a docent at Dr. Bob’s home for the last few years has been the highlight of my sober life since moving to Northeast Ohio. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for having stumbled into a position of trust and privilege here at the epicenter of the most radical and effective social experiment in the history of the treatment of alcoholism. I get to be surrounded by an amazing staff here, with a depth of knowledge and commitment as we share historical facts. It’s been a moving and humbling experience.
