Wherever I Am
Many cruise lines have “Friends of Bill” meetings. I’ve met people there from all over the world. I still talk to a woman I met more than seven years ago on my very first sober cruise.
My first sober trip was with my 10-year-old daughter to Oahu, Hawaii. My sponsor said to make sure I knew where my first AA meeting would be when I got to the island and to have a plan to make it there. She explained that things could get chaotic for the newly sober person when on vacation and it can get harder and harder to make a meeting if things get out of control.
